Coming to a theater near you!

You can always tell when a book is going to be on a waiting list if it's about to be made into a film. A good way to find out what is heading to the theater is to check out EarlyWord.com for the books-to-film section.

It's also a good way to plan a book related program you know will be popular. I planned a program for Alice in Wonderland which fell on Valentine's Day. We called it "A Very Happy Un-Valentine's Day" and had a tea party.

We decorated cupcakes with "glitter gel" icing. Glitter, my nemesis as I always end up with some on my face even when I don't use it, is always a favorite. We found an icing that has edible glitter. It was a hit.

We also used craft foam and hot glue to make pins. We decorated in black and purple, and gave out mini bottles of bubbles, also in black. (from the pirate section of OrientalTrading.com) One teen even made us a robot.

There are some popular books being made into movies. If you keep an eye out, you can plan the perfect program at the perfect time.
