Chainmaille!

One of our most popular programs was our chainmaille program. Once teens got the hang of making the links, they were asking when we'd hold it again. We had a group come in and help us with this one, since we'd never really thought about it, and it looked difficult. As it turns out, it's really simple. They brought bags that contained-

100 pre-cut aluminum rings

The cost of this program was about $5 per attendee. The pliers can be purchased online, and the rings can be made, or purchased. I enjoyed the program so much, I purchased more rings through Etsy.com from a fellow crafter. They come in many different sizes and colors.

We made a spiral chain during the program, but as some teens advanced through that design, they learned others as well.

The spiral chain, and other links can be found here. This website has tutorials for many different styles of chainmaille.
You can also add some books to your collection that I found very helpfull for going on to make this-
